Primeiro álbum da banda Porco Mecânico, que explora a temática da morte por diferentes prismas, como religiosos, baseando-se nas visões cristã e budista, e também niilista. O objetivo foi criar um produto que trouxesse a beleza e o sagrado que existe em torno do tema.
The first album by the band Porco Mecânico explores the theme of death from different perspectives, such as religious, based on Christian and Buddhist views, and also nihilistic. The aim was to create a product that brought out the beauty and sacredness surrounding the theme.
A ilustração foi feita no Adobe Photoshop, aproveitando as possibilidades de mistura de cores a partir do pincel, permitindo chegar a aparência de uma pintura feita à óleo. Com esse efeito, pode-se relacionar o resultado com antigas pinturas de santos, porém, sem esconder que é uma mídia totalmente digital. Santa Muerte exigiu uma estética fúnebre, porém sacra e feliz.
The illustration was done in Adobe Photoshop, taking advantage of the possibilities of mixing colors using the brush, allowing you to achieve the appearance of an oil painting. With this effect, you can relate the result to old paintings of saints, but without hiding the fact that it is a completely digital medium. Santa Muerte required a funereal, yet sacred and happy aesthetic.
